Jasper Berl Jones

Jasper Berl Jones, 82, of Kensett, passed away April 30, 2019 at Unity Health in Searcy.  He was born May 1, 1936 at Yellville, Arkansas to the late Everett and Rutha Vancel Jones.
Mr. Jones served in the US Army and enjoyed a long career as an electrician.  After a short retirement, he went back to work for Searcy Parks & Recreation, until his health failed.  He was a member of Whitney Lane Family Worship Center and loved to work on old cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Jones and sister, Jo Ruth Drake.
He married Loye Gail Davis Jones February 14, 2009 at Romance, Arkansas; she survives.  He is also survived by a son, Alan Jones (Wanda) of Conway, South Carolina; daughter, Sandra Smith (Lee) of Tyler Texas; step daughter, Lisa Patrom of McRae; six grandchildren, Ahsley Smith, Kayla Stoddard (James), Courtney Jones, Hannah Campopiano (Joey), Greg McAllister, and Colton Hambrick; seven great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at Whitney Lane Family Worship Center with burial and military honors following at Kensett Cemetery.
