Janie Christine Qualls Boatright

Janie Christine Qualls Boatright, a beloved mother, mimi, sister, and friend passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on September 14, 1962, in Trumann, Arkansas, to the late William R and Virginia N Qualls. She brought joy to those around her with her unwavering for family, a passion that defined much of her life.

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at starting at ASU and later finishing at ULAR, Janie built a commendable career in quality management over the course of 35 years. She began her journey at Stant Manufacturing, where she started in the lab, working her way up to the position of Quality Control Manager over 20 years. She later transitioned to George Fisher, where she continued to excel in quality control for an additional 15 years before her retirement. Janie’s professional endeavors reflected her unwavering commitment to excellence and her passion for her work.

Janie loved to travel with family and friends. Her adventurous spirit allowed her to create lasting memories while experiencing the beauty of the world. She also loved the Arkansas Razorbacks! Go Hogs! Janie’s zest for life and her love for her family were evident in all that she did.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Janie had a deep love for her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Robin (Gregg) and Sara (Matt) Boatright, who were the pride of her life. She found great joy in her role as "Mimi" to Avery McGregor, whose laughter and spirit brought light to her days. Janie's family also includes her brothers, Jim Henley, David Henley (Denise), and Michael Henley, alongside many nieces, nephews, and extended family, who will treasure her memory.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Paula Patton, and sisters-in-law Chris Henley and Faith Henley.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 at Buie and Cole Funeral Home at 1301 S Rock St. Sheridan, AR 72150. Funeral service will be the following day Friday, October 25th at 9:00 A.M. also at Buie and Cole Funeral Home.
