Janet Hefley

Janet Hefley age 54 of West Fork, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009. She was born December 10, 1954 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Raymond J. Leopard and Rachel McKinzie Leopard. Ms. Hefley was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Carolyn Leopard.

Ms. Hefley is survived by her husband, Greg Gipson of West Fork; two sons and daughters-in-law, Cory and Angela West of Sheridan, Danny and Ashley West of Springdale; three brothers, Mack Leopard, David Leopard both of Rison, DeWayne Leopard of Quincy, Florida; one sister, Juanita Via of Alexander; three grandchildren, Devin Threlkeld, Preston Threlkeld and Peyton West.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Brother C. E. Van Ness officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home of Rison. Pallbearers are Chris Hyatt, Jeff Gipson, Daniel Gipson, Brent Leopard, Brad Leopard and Doyle Bowlin.
