Jane Rodgers Jacobs

Jane Rodgers Jacobs, age 80 of Rison, passed away January 11, 2024 in Little Rock.  She was born July 28, 1943 in Rison, AR to the late Chester and Gracie Harden Rodgers.  Jane enjoyed traveling, quilting, canning, playing the piano, listening to music, and working in her garden.  She loved her hummingbirds and butterflies. She volunteered to help whenever she could, including her church, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and at the Cleveland County Fair. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and visiting with family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James A. Jacobs, brothers, Edgar and Arnold Rodgers, and by one sister, Hilda Langford.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Cook (Franklin) and Nathan Jacobs (Angel), grandchildren, Jordan Moore (Jeremy), Melissa Kea (Clay), Summer Cook, Justin Jacobs (Maylee Roberts) and James Lee Jacobs, sisters, Eva Mae Tew, Joyce Harper, Carolyn Brown (Bernie), and Sue Terry (Richard), and Bob Goggans and his children and their families, and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Charles Puckett, Joe Herrington, Les Walz, Will Jacobs, Jeremy Moore, Clay Kea, Justin Jacobs and James Lee Jacobs.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in her name be made to the Cleveland County Gideon Association, P.O. Box 216, Rison, AR 71665.
