Jamie Carlyn Butcher Todd

Jamie Carlyn Butcher Todd, age 73, of Searcy, Arkansas, formerly of Rowell, Arkansas went peacefully to be with our Lord, Thursday September 19, 2013. Mrs. Todd was born March 14, 1940, in Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter of the late Thomas Carroll Butcher, Sr. and Jimmie McAuliffe Butcher. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian Ann Butcher and Diane Butcher White. Mrs. Todd graduated from Baptist Nursing School. She was a supportive and dedicated Naval Officer's wife for 30 years. Mrs. Todd was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great passion for genealogical research. Mrs. Todd is survived by her cherished and devoted husband, Retired Lt. Commander Wiley Wayne Todd of Searcy, Arkansas. She was the loving sister of Thomas (Tommy) C. Butcher, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Rison, Arkansas and David M. Butcher and his wife Anne of Kirby, Arkansas. She is also survived by daughter, Paula T. Ambrose and son-in-law, James Ambrose of Chesapeake, Virginia; son, Jimmy Todd and daughter-in-law Donna of Searcy, Arkansas; and son John David Todd and daughter-in-law Shannon also from Searcy, Arkansas. She was Grandmother to, Chris Ambrose, Teri Jane Coppak, Greg Kasmark, Ashley Briscoe, Christopher Todd, Sean Dyer and Mitchell Wayne Todd and Great Grandmother to, Isabella, Brent, Kaylie, and Elijah. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison Arkansas with Brother Rudy Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday September 21, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. A private burial service will be held at Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers are Jeff Wilson, Butch Butcher, Rusty White, Hunter White, Cody White, Blake White, Jacob Wilson and Nathan Wilson.
