Jamie L. Leatherwood

Jamie L. Lambdin Leatherwood, age 89, of Sheridan passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 8, 1920 in Sheridan, a daughter of the late Wilford and Hattie Berry Lambdin. Mrs. Leatherwood was a former waitress and was well known for her homemade pies. She was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Leatherwood was also preceded in death by her husband, Alex T. Babe Leatherwood; her son, J.A. Leatherwood; brother, Carroll Lambdin; two sisters, Estelee Allen, and Elsie Snyder.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Frances and Jim Lewis of Sheridan; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Buie Funeral Chapel with Brother Danny Hill and Tim Stuckey officiating. Visitation will be after the service. Interment will be at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Pallbearers are: Tim Stuckey, Bill Odom, Tom Shepherd, David Rogers, Jim Allen, and John Allen.
