James Timothy "Tim" Winston

December 1, 1958 — February 6, 2016

James Timothy "Tim" Winston, 57 of Rison, left his earthly home for his Heavenly home on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was born December 1, 1958 at Fordyce to Jack and Peggy Hope Winston. Tim was a 1977 graduate of Rison High School, was an outstanding skilled basketball player, later playing with Church leagues and known to many as "DAWG". He worked in the Timber Industry and loved the outdoors, always searching for Indian artifacts and antiques. Tim was a member of Rison Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Beulah Hope, S.A. and Elsie Winston.

Survivors include his parents, Jack and Peggy Winston of Rison; two brothers, Danny and Christy Winston of Arkadelphia, Steve and Belinda Winston of Sheridan; Tim was a special uncle and dearly loved by nieces and nephews; Matthew Winston and Stacy Quinton of Hot Springs, Leann King of Sheridan, Jared Winston of Bryant. He was also adored by six great nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them playing and hunting dinosaur tracks. Tim was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Lost creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Bro. Danny Allen officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-7:00p.m. Memorials may be made to Rison Baptist Church, P.O. Box 404 Rison, AR. 71665 Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
