James Irvin "Junior" Wilson, age 79, of Grapevine, Arkansas passed away Sunday, July 21 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 18, 1934 at the Staves Community in Cleveland County, the son of the late Irvin Wilson and Velma (West) Wilson. He was a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Grapevine, Arkansas, a 1952 graduate of Rison High School, and had formerly served in the United States Army 3rd Armored Division in Germany. Mr. Wilson worked for Cotton-Belt Southern Pacific Railroad for over 43 years, until his retirement in 1996. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Vana Lee Atchison and Eula Belle Clark; two brothers, Roy Vernon Wilson and William Woodrow Wilson. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Marie (Ramick) Wilson of Grapevine, to whom he married June 12, 1953; son, James Edward "Eddie" Wilson of Hardy, Arkansas; daughter, Shelly Marie Duffer of Grapevine, Arkansas; two sisters, Velma Jean Baker of Staves, Arkansas and Willa Mae Swilling of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Cody Wilson, Justin Wilson, and Courtney Duffer; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Grapevine, Arkansas with visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service with Brother William Ashcraft and Brother Ronald Young officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Wilson, Justin Wilson, Jody Clark, Joe Lynn Clark, Tony Ramick, and O.D. Vailes. Interment will follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Grapevine.
