James L. Threlkeld

James L. Threlkeld age 67, of Sheridan died Monday, November 17, 2008 in the Veterans Hospital at Little Rock. He was born April 5, 1941 in Sheridan, a son of the late Clarence and Ruby Mae James Threlkeld. Mr. Threlkeld was retired employed of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, where he delivered newspapers and served two years in the Army during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Threlkeld and two sisters, Elsie Vinning and Betty Sue Martindale.

Mr. Threlkeld is survived by his wife, Barbara Billings Threlkeld of Sheridan; one son and daughter in law, Mike and Connie Threlkeld of Fayetteville; one daughter, Teresa Selman of Sheridan; one brother W. M. Bill Threlkeld of Livingston, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Dillon Selman, Ashley Selman, Langlee Threlkeld, Sam Threlkeld, Clay Threlkeld, Adam Threlkeld, John Threlkeld.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Brother George Brandon officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
