James A. Reed

James A. Buddy Reed age 79 of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Center in Pine Bluff. He was born August 29, 1930 in Cleveland County a son of the late Tommie and Eunice Roberts Reed. Mr. Reed married Barbara Wilson on October 12, 1954 in Greenville, Mississippi. He was a great husband, a good provider, and loved his family very much. Mr. Reed owned and operated Reeds Television Repair Service for fifty two years and was a Baptist. He was a mason and member of Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge number one sixty. Mr. Reed was also preceded in death by his brother, Wilson Reed and sister, Inez Merrill.

Survivors include his loving wife for over fifty five years, Barbara Wilson Reed of Pine Bluff; two brothers, John Reed of Star City and Leon Reed of Woodlawn; four sisters, Louise Smith of Pine Bluff, Lois Ashcom and Bertha Wasoff both of Dallas, Texas, Sarah Lockwood of Mablevale ; numerous nephews, nieces.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dewayne Roper and James Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at the funeral home Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
