James Lloyd Payne

James Payne, 78, of Beebe, died January 1, 2018 at Advanced Care Hospital in Searcy. He was born May 2, 1939 at Galveston, Texas to the late Ira and Nona Bolton Payne.
He served 34 years in the US Navy retiring as Master Chief Petty Officer. He loved his country, his family and late wife, Beverly Geis Payne, who preceded him in death December 2, 2017.
He is survived by three sons, James Payne (Vivian) of Mililani, Hawaii, Eric Payne (Nancy) of Sacramento, California, and Jeffrey Payne of Beebe; grandchildren, Natasha, Ashleigh, Taylor, and Kim; great grandchildren, Isabella, Taeko, Ezekiel, and Gabriel; and one brother, Ira Payne of Sacramento, California.
No local services are planned. Interment along with his wife’s cremated remains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
