James Patrick Morrissey, 77 of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on September 3, 2022, after his fight with Cancer. Jim was born on August 11,1945, to Edward Morrissey; father, Bernice (Sharp) Morrissey; mother.
Jim's death was sudden for his family, but they thank God for the time they did have with him, Jim lived a full life. He served in the United States Army during The Vietnam War in 1968 and 1969. He has owned several businesses thru out His life. Jim loved reading old western stories, True Crimes, as well as Science fiction tales. Jim also enjoyed traveling and making memories with his children on family road trips. The families favorite place to vacation together was Colorado, he loved the mountains. Jim always wanted to pan gold like they did in the Old West. As Jim got older, he realized family was important to him. He slowed down traveling and spent more time at home around His boys.
Mr. Morrissey is preceded in death by 7 siblings, Richard "Lil Richie" Morrissey, Gerald "Jerry" Morrissey, Robert "Bobby" Morrissey, Dorthy (Morrissey) Gerhart, Thomas "Tommy" Morrissey, William "Billy" Morrissey, and Joan "Joanie" Morrissey.
Jim is survived by one sister Sharon (Morrissey) Daukus. Jim is also survived by his sons, Thomas "Tommy" Michael Morrissey, Dustin Blake Morrissey, and Justin James Morrissey. Also, his 6 grandchildren, Jalyn Danielle Nicole Morrissey, Cassidy Morrissey, Jimmy Morrissey, Colin Morrissey, Kaiden Michael Morrissey, and Jericho Waylon Arthur Morrissey.

A Memorial Service for Family will be held at Apostolic Revival Church (1150 Peyton St (Hwy319), Ward, Ar. 72176) on Saturday, November 12th,2022 at12 PM. Jim requested to be cremated so the Family have chosen to get together and share a few words.
