James A. Morgan

James A. Morgan, age 72, of New Edinburg, died, Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his home. He was born December 23, 1939 in New Edinburg, a son of the late William A. and Ester Smith Morgan. Mr. Morgan graduated from Bay High School. He served in the Army National Guard and was a retired carpenter. Mr. Morgan was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Stryker. Mr. Morgan is survived by two sons, James W. Morgan of New Edinburg, Johnny A. Morgan of Fordyce; one daughter, Mary A. Morgan of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one sister, June Maass of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Vanessa Hearon, Jessica Hearon, Kyle Burns and Kaitlyn Burns. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at McFarland Cemetery near Banks with Brother Russell Ware officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870)325-6216.
