James Coy Mcrae, Sr

James McRae, Sr., age 79, of the "Y Community" near Rison, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 30, 2015. Mr. McRae was born October 9, 1935 in Rison, a son of the late Clarence A. McRae and Ollie Lea McGriff McRae. He was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. McRae always enjoyed anything that involved being outdoors, some of his favorites were fishing, hunting and gardening. In addition to his parents, Mr. McRae is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Sandra Arden McRae and one brother, Roger Dale McRae. Left to cherish his memory is one son, James Coy McRae, Jr. of Ola; one daughter, Belinda Stewart of Rison; two sisters, Mary Ann Chapman of Flower Mound, Texas, Madie Keller of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren, Chris Mitchell of Pine Bluff, Wendy Mitchell of Arlington, Texas, Sara Mae McRae of St. Cloud, Minnesota ; six great grandchildren and a very close family friend, Sherry McGahhey of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the funeral home with Brother John Bean officiating.
