James Mccullough

James H. McCullough ENC (SS) Ret, shoved off on his eternal patrol this date, November 13, 2012, age 84. He served aboard USS Blower in 1948, Redfish 1948 (Qualified) to 1954, USS Diodon 59, Blueback 1960-64, and Bugara 1964-66. Rest in Peace, Shipmate. Rest your oar, and thank you for your service. You are relieved, shipmate. We who remain have the watch. Mr. McCullough was born July 22, 1928, in Cleveland County, a son of the late Thomas McCullough and Cora Hall McCullough. He was a member of Kingsland United Methodist Church. Mr. McCullough was also preceded in death by his wife and 1st Mate, Evaline; brother, Clarence McCullough. Mr. McCullough is survived by one daughter, Eva; one grandchild and one great grandchild, all of San Diego, California; special angel, Lilly "Sunshine" and her family; two special angels as caregivers; one step uncle, Calvin Terry of Rison; special cousin, Mike Mitchell of Kingsland; several cousins and other family members. Graveside services with military honors are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Macedonia Cemetery near Rison with Reverend Mark Rivers officiating.
