James "Bill" Kilpatrick

December 9, 1941 — January 3, 2011

James Bill Kilpatrick age 69 of Cleverson Community in Cleveland County, died, Monday, January 3, 2011 in Camden. He was born December 9, 1941in Chidester, a son of the late G. W. Kilpatrick and Ruby Hawley Kilpatrick. Mr. Kilpatrick loved hunting and fishing. He served in the United States Navy; worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal as a tool and die machinist; and was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Kilpatrick was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Kilpatrick; brothers, Guy Wayne Kilpatrick and Havis Kilpatrick.

Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by his wife of thirty three years, Wanda Roberts Kilpatrick of Cleverson, whom he married on August 12, 1977; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Buddy Kilpatrick and Sherry of Camden, Wade Jacks and Janay of Hamburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Casey Kilpatrick Hamilton and Danny of Camden, Karan Jacks Stewart and Lee of Rison; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011at Center Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are John Howard, Earnest Stacy, Ronald Young, Harold Givens, Terry Womble, and Buddy Singleton. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Green, Jim Taylor, Lloyd Caviness and Kelly Stewart. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870)325-6216.
