James H. Jacks, age 79 of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 4, 2013. He was born April 11, 1934 in Rowell, a son of the late Jim Jacks and Radie Stark Jacks. Mr. Jacks was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Army. He retired from Central Moloney after forty years of service, where he was a welder. Mr. Jacks was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. Mr. Jacks was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Jacks Thomason; four brothers, Joe Jacks, Jerry Jacks, R. L. Jacks and Ralph Jacks. Mr. Jacks is survived by his wife, Pauline Rice Jacks of Rison, whom he married on February 1, 1957; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Dwaine Floyd of White Hall; two sisters, Anleen Vinson of Pine Bluff and Fern Vinson of Cabot; two grandsons, Trent Thomason and Trey Thomason; one granddaughter, Kandi Lehr; one great granddaughter, Kendyl Lehr; sisters-in-law, Betty Jacks of Rowell, Clydie Walls of Arkadelphia, Yvone Williams of Glendale and Lois Rice of Pine Bluff. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Pallbearers are Iry Rice, Johnny Rice, Danny Jacks, Greg Jacks, Scotty Vinson and Roy Phillips. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
