James "Jim" Grinder of Vilonia, passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 78.
Jim was born on August 18, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas to George and Lucille Grinder. He worked as a Pipefitter and was a member of the UA Local 155 Plumbers & Pipefitters. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars. He was also a member of the masonic lodge.
He is survived by four sons, Rod Grinder and wife, Wendi of Sayre, Oklahoma; Michael Grinder of Vilonia; David Grinder and wife, Beth of Coopertown, Tennessee; Mark Grinder and wife, Melissa of Vilonia; one brother, Dale Grinder and wife Kathy, of Gravel Ridge; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Amy, Danny, Josh, Rylee, Sammy, Lacy; and one great-grandchild, Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille Grinder; his sister, Georgia Kersey, and brothers, Danny Grinder and Jerry Grinder.
Mr. Grinder will be cremated and there will be a memorial visitation from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Vilonia Funeral Home, 1134 Main Street, Vilonia, AR 72173.
A graveside memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at Silver Hill Cemetery in St. Joe, Arkansas.
His pallbearers will be his four grandsons, Matthew Grinder, Danny Grinder, Josh Grinder and Sammy Grinder.
