James Ray Doss, age 63, of Kedron Community, died, Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He was born September 18, 1949 in Kedron, a son of Annie Broach Granderson and the late S. P. Doss. Mr. Doss was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School. He was a self employed Real Estate Investor and worked in construction. Mr. Doss was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family time with his grandchildren. Mr. Doss was also preceded in death by a sister, Jodie Matheson; two brothers, Bo Doss and Kevin Lee Granderson; uncle, Knolton Broach; aunt, Francis Broach. Mr. Doss is survived by his wife, Charlotte Doss of Kedron, whom he married on March 27, 1971; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Kim Doss of Pine Bluff; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lesia and Floyd Harper of Monticello, Lora and Richie Bowlin of Rison, Cerrie and Tim Brown of Pine Bluff; parents, Annie and Roy Granderson of Kedron; three brothers, Jim Doss and Johnny Doss, both of Pine Bluff, Clark Granderson of Florida; three sisters, Bobbie Ann Werner of Redfield, Shirley Murray of Star City, Melissa Robbins of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren, Micah Brown, Terra Jones, Regan Bowlin, Austin Harper, Kassie Harper, Tyler Brown and Jordan Bowlin; one great grandchild, Madilyn O'Fallon. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, Friday at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are James Rogers, Joe Sansom, Steve Murray, Samuel Matheson, Jeff Matheson, Tim Hall, Lane Pickle and Kevin Robbins. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
