James D. Cash

James D. Cash, 79, of Randall died peacefully at his home Thursday, August 22, 2013. Born April 12, 1934 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Walter Cash and Eunice Roberts Cash, and their last surviving child. Mr. Cash was raised and educated in the Woodlawn Community. He has been a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church at Rowell for over 55 years and for many of those years has served as deacon. Mr. Cash was retired from Jefferson County where he was employed for 27 years serving as Superintendent of the Courthouse and properties. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling, playing music with family and friends, and tending to his property. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Mary Cash, son, Wayne Cash and daughter-in-law, Rita Cash, and grandson, Tyler Cash. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Cash, and sisters, Marie Stover, Louise Cash, Mary Stover, and infant Pauline Cash. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Center Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Brother Johnie Brewster will be assisting. Burial will follow at Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers include his great nephews: Mike Stover, Jimmy Stover, Brian Stover, and Brian Hargis; also, Logan Rambin and Joe Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers include his nephews: Lee Stover, Jimmy Stover, David Stover, Harvey Stover, Jerry Stover, Jackie Allread, and Homer Wilson, also, James Voy Cash, Billy Bates and Marvin Rauls. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the caregivers that helped Mr. Cash during his illness. Memorials may be made to the Rowell Cemetery Association, 180 Glover Road, Rison, Arkansas 71665. Arrangements were by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
