James Roy Ballard, 51, of Judsonia, passed away August 30, 2021, from injuries sustained in an motorcycle accident. He was born November 6, 1969, at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Roy graduated from Centralia Illinois High School, going on to serve in the US Navy. He later attended ASU Beebe where he received an associate degree. He loved riding his motorcycle and being outdoors. His hobbies included watching Cardinal baseball and he was a Kentucky Wildcat’s fan. His family was everything to him, and his grandchildren were his greatest blessing.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Mackinzie Vermillion.
He met Kayla Morgan Ballard in 1996 later marrying her August 24, 2007 at Searcy; she survives. He is also survived by his father James Ballard (Gayla) of Searcy; mother, Sharon McGhee of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; step daughter, Brittany Hale (Matthew) of Bradford; three sisters, Sara Kay Hoeg (Todd) of Eureka Springs, Jammie Clemons (John) of Searcy, and Hanah McGhee of Cape Girardeau; brother, Paul Ballard (Kandace) of Bossier City, Louisiana; six step grandchildren, Gracie, Kamden, Kayzlyn, Layton, Kinson, and Lyla as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Sullivan Funeral Care with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow services.
