Jack Calvin Spaulding, age 100 of Searcy, passed away peacefully, September 12, 2022. He was born September 9, 1922 in Henrietta, OK to the late Ira Lee and Mollie Pruitt Spaulding. Jack owned and operated Searcy Van and Storage, was a charter member of the Searcy Optimist Club, and was a longtime member of Westside Church of Christ. Jack was a proud United States Army Veteran, he served during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Virginia (Hall), daughter, Rebecca Vest, brothers, Howard, Reland and Leland, Joe, Earl, and James Spaulding, grandson, Anthony Taylor, and one great granddaughter.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Grigsby (Rick), Kimberly Smith (David), and son in law, James Vest, grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Reid Grigsby, Ericka Atkins, and Clayton Grigsby, six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like express their gratitude to the staff of Providence Assisted Living, and nurses at Elite Hospice for the love and care they gave to Jack and a very special thanks to Kenneth Story and the morning “coffee club”.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022 at White County Memorial Garden in Searcy.
