Howard Ross

Albert Howard Ross, age 63, of Woodlawn passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1950 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Brooks Ross and Maple Brown Ross. Mr. Ross worked for Burgess Williams as a mail carrier for 25 years before retiring in 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Larry Ross and his wife, Kathy of Pine Bluff, and James Wilkes Byrd of Pine Bluff; sister, Marie Roberts of Woodlawn; half brother, Sonny Leopard of Hot Springs. Mr. Ross was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Leopard officiating. Burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Rison. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Otis Waters, Mack Kimbrell, Jimmy Lemmons, Tim Roberts, Jerry Roberts, Arlie Atkins, Ray Lunsford, and Lloyd Roberts. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
