Howard Glen Davis Jr., 72, of Joliet, died November 8, 2008 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana. He was born October 30, 1936 to Howard and Savannah (Cates) Davis Sr. in Leola, Arkansas where he attended schools. Howard went into the U.S. Army January 1955 in Little Rock. He was honorably discharged in 1958. On March 9, 1957 he married Dorothy (Saunders) in Tacoma, Washington and together they raised three children. Mr. Davis worked 35 years for Boeing as a machinist until he retired in 1993. They relocated to Joliet, Montana. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and collecting clocks, Beanie Babies, Furbys and Taco Bell dogs.
Howard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy of Joliet; three children, who were each at one time, one of his favorites, Bill (Linda) Davis of DuPont, WA, Debi Davis of Tacoma, WA, and Patrick (Evy) Davis of Billings; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis-Graham, Leighann McClintock and Josh Davis; one great-grandson Kyle McClintock. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister.
A memorial service will be held at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. The date and time of the services will be announced at a later date. Interment will follow at Leola Cemetery.
