Herschel Wayne Kelley, age 74, of Vilonia, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday Morning, August 7th, 2021, surrounded by his family in London, Arkansas.
He was born on April 22nd, 1947, in Martinez, California, to Roy and Fern Kelley. He was on the USS Barbel in the United States Navy where he served two tours to Vietnam. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Tulare County, California. He was a 55-year member of the US Submarine Veterans, a member of The Disabled American Vets, the American Legion, and Post Commander of the old Vilonia VFW Post #6855.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Judy Kelley of the home, five sons, Tim Kelley (Penny); Troy Kelley (Elizabeth); Brandon Kelley (Gwen); Aaron Kelley (Amanda); Josh Kelley (Monalisa); his daughter, Ashleigh Kelley and his other daughter, Danielle Burns; three brothers, Melvin Kelley, James Kelley, Alvin Kelley, three sisters, Virginia Lang, Brenda Zandona, Sharon Smith, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Fern Kelley; one daughter, St. John, one brother, Cecil Kelley; and two sisters, Vanita Bullock and Linda Keeton.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 11th, 2021, at 10:00 am at Cypress Valley Cemetery, 114 Stanley Road Vilonia, AR 72173, with Brother Steve Payton officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Aaron Kelley, Josh Kelley, Noah Kelley, Brandon Kelley, Alvin Kelley and Daniel "Boone" Bullock.
