Herman "Tap" Hyatt

Herman Tap Hyatt Jr., age 77 of Rison, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 8, 1934 in Cleveland County, a son of the late Herman Clifton Hyatt Sr., and Clarice Holderfield Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt retired from Potlatch in Arkansas City, where he was a Millwright and was a Baptist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Hyatt was also preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Hyatt; son, Michael Wayne Hyatt Sr.; brother, Elbert Clayton Hyatt.

Mr. Hyatt is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Roger Leopard; two brothers, Havis Hyatt and Bobby Hyatt; two sisters, Charlene Bond and Frances Wells, all of Rison; six grandchildren, Keith Leopard, Mark Leopard, Jeremy Leopard, Michael Hyatt Jr., Hayley Hopper and Anna Hyatt; fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Jim Tollison officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Hyatt Jr., Scott Hyatt, Keith Leopard, Mark Leopard, Jeremy Leopard, Chris Hyatt, Kody Leopard and Shawn Leopard. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Memorials may be made to Bethel Number One Missionary Baptist Church Family Life Center, P. O.
