Henry Leroy Tippitt (H.L. / Tip) age 65 of Hickory Plains passed to heaven February 19, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
H.L. grew up in North Little Rock. Summers were spent on the family farm in Hickory Plains.
At age 10, a new family was formed. Stella Mae Tippitt along with two step sisters Cathy and Sherry joined our family. Stella became a mom and raised H.L. Over the years, the four of us always found trouble to get into. The hay field on the farm and animals kept us busy and out of trouble in the summer.
Age 15, H.L gave his life to Christ and Joined Highway Baptist Church is round top in North Little Rock.
1970 baby sister, Willie Mae Tippitt Bordelon arrived in the family.
His favorite past time was fishing. He found every way he could to be on a fishing bank. He kept busy working in the yard when his health allowed. Also, taking care of his cats. Taz was his baby. He loved playing games and dominos and visiting with friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Tippitt, mother, Shirley Tippitt, one nephew, Jonathan Henson,stepmother, Stella Tippitt, sister Sherry Tippitt Turner, three brother in laws, John Henson, AL Bowen, and Steve Turner.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Marie Tippitt Henson of Hickory Plains, Wille Mae Tippitt Bordelon of Des Arc, Cathy Tippitt Bowen of Fayetteville, cousin/ sister, Linda Maben of Hickory Plains, nephew, Timothy Bordelon of Des Arc, niece, Kristina Bordelon of Des Arc and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special friend, Samantha Taylor.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Hickory Plains Cemetery.
