Helen Virginia Skorcz

Helen Virginia Skorcz, 66, of Warren, formerly of Sheridan, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. She was born December 21, 1940 in Conway, a daughter of the late William and Lena Simon Thines. Ms. Skorcz was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Skorcz.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Kim Skorcz of Warren; granddaughter, Macy Skorcz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sheridan with Father Oliver Ochieze officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan. Pallbearers are: Charles M. Skorcz, Harvey Skorcz, Harold Skorcz, Mark Skorcz, Larry Pilkington, Darrell Hayden, Jason Rhoden, Jacob Rhoden. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
