Helen Floy Belle Marie Dixon, age 86, known to everyone as "Flo", departed this life on February 4, 2015 in her home in Leola, Arkansas. She was born February 10, 1928 in Malvern, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonny and Ida Henson; sister, Evelyn Green; brother, James Henson; and husband, James V. Dixon. She is survived by two sons, Don Morris and wife, Sandra of Carthage and Ricky Morris of Leola; four grandchildren, Shane Morris of Bryant, Heather Morris of Chicago, Illinois, Raven Finley of Leola (whom she raised), and Derrick Morris of Watson Chapel; and six great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Margaret Finley and Roxann Algren. Flo worked many years as a waitress and eventually opened her own café, Leola Corner Café, with her mother, which they operated for several years. Upon his retirement from the Army, she and her husband, Jim, opened a service station, Jim's Service Station, which they operated for many years in Leola. After retiring again, she enjoyed cooking and sewing. Her favorite pastime was reading, watching old westerns, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother John Brown, Jr. and Brother Robert Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Leola. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
