Hazel Vinson

Hazel Vinson, age 66 of the Pansy Community near Rison went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was born January 22, 1949 in Warren a daughter of the late Samuel O. Crutchfield and Hazel Lorraine Doss Crutchfield. Mrs. Vinson was a graduate of Rison High School and retired from School Apparel as a machine operator. She adored her children and grandchildren dearly, sharing her love as a mother, grandmother and friend. Hazel enjoyed cooking, gardening and being outdoors. She attended Center Missionary Baptist Church and preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rex Vinson.

Survivors include her daughters, Shanda Vinson and Deena Brown(Brandon Brown); grandchildren, Dakota, Maddie, Jayda, Olivia, Jaxson, Caleb and Ava; step son, Joe Wayne Vinson; step daughter, Karen Vinson Pipkin; sisters, Jean Mason, Gloria Hankins, Doris Rice; half sisters, Roberta Shelby, Lanelle Willis, Wanda Valentine, Betty Drewery, Shirley Watson; half brother, Ronald Crutchfield.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Interment will follow at Prosperity Cemetery in Herbine. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers are Roger Harris, Ray Gavin, Billy Crutchfield, Wayne Richardson, Joe Wayne Vinson and Will Martin.
