Harriett Grubb

Harriett Kathleen Grubb age 77 of Rison, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born November 9, 1930 in Pinehurst, North Carolina, a daughter of the late E. H. and Lela Black Lawrence. Mrs. Grubb was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Grubb and four sisters.

Mrs. Grubb is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Debbie Grubb of Hot Springs, Mike and Misti Grubb of Charleston, South Carolina, Bruce and Donna Grubb of Rison; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Rusty McElroy of Ashdown, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Kara Grubb, Samuel Grubb, Blake Grubb, Landon Grubb, Kendall Grubb, Scott Grubb, Brett Grubb, Brittany McElroy and Hannah McElroy.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Ron Canard and Mr. Jamie McElroy officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. at Pinewood Memorial Cemetery near Crossett. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Samuel Grubb, Blake Grubb, Landon Grubb, Scott Grubb, Brett Grubb and Brian Oliver. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Cancer Society, 901 North University Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870-325-6216).
