Gysgt. Billy G. Winberry, Usmc Retired

GySgt. Billy G. Winberry, USMC Retired, age 81, of Sheridan passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born November 29, 1934 in Des Arc, the son of the late Jessie Winberry and Dova McDonald Winberry. Mr. Winberry served as a Senior Staff Non-Commissioned Officer for the Military Police Unit in El Toro, California. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Winberry is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Francis Winberry; brothers, Benjamin Winberry, Doyle Winberry, Danny Winberry, Gary Winberry, and Tommy Winberry; one sister; and grandson, Lucas Allen Winberry.

Left to cherish his memory, sons, Robert Lee Winberry and his wife, Becky Ann of Sheridan and Ronnie Winberry and his wife, Katherine of Glen Rose; daughter, Joyce Ann Little and her husband, Douglas of Malvern; brother, LeRoy Winberry of Wynne; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother George Yarberry officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Des Arc.
