Gracie Williams

Gracie Viola Williams, age 85 of Sheridan, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 in Little Rock. She was born April 18, 1924 in Corinth, Arkansas to the late Joseph Luther and Lessie Louisa Glover Wells. On August 18, 1945 she married John D. Williams Sr. in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Williams was a longtime member of Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God. She was preceded by her husband, John on January 16, 2003 and her brother, Archie Wells.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Steward of Sheridan; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Doyle and Connie Williams Jr. of Fayetteville, Tommie and Terri Williams of Alexander, Jerry and Pearlie Williams of North Little Rock; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Welch of Bakersfield, California, Wilma Campbell of Sherwood; four brothers, Jr. Wells of Benton, Jimmy Wells of Little Rock, Edwin Wells of Anson, Texas, Robert Wells of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Odell Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God, 447 Grant 74, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
