Glenn Edward Ford, Jr.

Glenn Edward Ford, Jr., age 75 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully August 25, 2024. He was born September 4, 1948 to the late Glenn Sr. and Anna Koon Ford.  Glenn was a proud Marine, serving his Country in the Vietnam War, and later joined the National Guard.  He was an avid fisherman, he loved taking his family fishing, watching old westerns, NASCAR, and football. He liked going to the casino whenever he got a chance.  Glenn was a true family man, he loved his children, grandchildren, cousins, and friends.  He never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to whomever needed one. Glenn was an excellent dad and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Emerson Ford, and by his sister Annette Vanlandingham.

He is survived by his loving children, Lisa Pemberton, Tonya Gibson, and Michael Ford, cousin/brother, Scotty Childers, grandchildren, Dakota Freeman, Olivia Standridge, Ethan Standridge and Kaylee Gibson, and by numerous cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday,  August 30, 2024 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery in Sheridan.
