Georgia (Landis) Sullivan

July 25, 1943 — May 24, 2021

McRae

On July 25, 1943, Georgia Bell Landis Sullivan was born in Dripping Springs, AR.

Georgia graduated from White County Central in 1961 then went to work at General Industries in Bald Knob.

She met her forever love, Bob Sullivan, at Higginson Assembly of God Church. They married on March 18, 1967 and remained so until her passing.

Georgia was an anointed, spirited Pentecostal preacher. She was the ultimate prayer warrior and all who knew her depended on her connection with God. Any crisis was met with, "Let me call Georgia and get her to praying."

If the matter wasn't something God needed to intervene in, food was the answer. She would make chocolate gravy and homemade biscuits and there was always a variety of Little Debbie cakes on hand to make you feel better. Her pecan pies were her most requested specialty. Her handmade quilts showed the love and patience she had for us. Her annual Christmas light show was a treat for the entire community.

If she wasn't reading her Bible, praying or quilting, she was working on puzzles, doing word searches and crossword puzzles but she most loved being with her family.

On May 24, 2021, Georgia passed away. She had just led song service at church the night before so we feel certain she was singing as she entered the gates of Heaven to forever rejoice with Jesus.

She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Robert "Bob" Sullivan of McRae; one daughter, Pam Huddleston of Searcy and children Devin Sullivan of McRae and Savannah Huddleston of Kansas City; one son, Elvis Sullivan (Carol) and daughter Gabrielle Sullivan all of Judsonia; one special girl she raised as her own, Jackie Stacks Reynolds (Adam) and children, Willow Winkler and Rivers Stacks all of Bald Knob; sisters Betty Wright of Searcy and Margaret Genieve Griffis of Swifton.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Sullivan; parents Georgie and Mary Landis; sister Naomi Hickman and brother Bobby Landis.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021.  Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel with burial following at Lebanon Cemetery.
