George J. Stover

George J. Stover, age 88 of the Sulphur Springs Community, "a great man, has gone on to a greater place", on Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was born October 20, 1924 in the "Y" Community near Rison, a son of the late Claude B. Stover and Versa Rhodes Stover. Mr. Stover retired from International Paper Company after twenty six years of service. He was a member of the International Paper Companies Quarter Century Club and the Retirement Club. Mr. Stover was an outdoorsman that loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Stover was also preceded in death by one brother, Willie Stover; one sister, Claude Mae Harrison. Mr. Stover is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Harrialine Neal Stover of the Sulphur Springs Community, whom he married on April 14, 1950; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Joe and Beverly Stover of Hot Springs Village; two brothers, Robert Lee Stover of Pine Bluff, Roland H. Stover of Queens City, Texas; two granddaughters, Natasha Richardson and Paulla Stover; two great granddaughters, Jessica Montgomery and Jenna Montgomery. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Black Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m., at Buie Funeral Home, prior to service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
