George A. Best Sr

George Alvin Best Sr. age 85, of Kingsland, Ar. went to be with the Lord September 24, 2017 at his home in Kingsland surrounded by family. Mr. Best was born on November 15, 1931 in Tichnor, Ar. He was the son of the late George Dewey and Betty Lee Best of Tichnor, Ar. Mr. Best retired as a Captain from the US Army Corps of Engineers, and a Pastor for many years. He loved to learn and teach the Word of God to others which lead him to build the Kingsland House of Prayer many years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Sible Best, Four Children: Dan (wife Tammy) Best of Kingsland, Ar. Jimmie Don Best of Kingsland, Ar. Lou Etta Abbott (Bobby) of Tichnor, Ar. and Ricky (wife Patsy) Best of North Little Rock, Ar. He had 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 4 Step Children, 8 step grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann Best and two sons, Joe Best and George Best Jr.

Memorial Services for Mr. Best will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday September 30th at Kingsland Assembly of God Church in Kingsland, Ar. with Bro. Harry Puterbaugh officiating. There will be a Graveside Burial Service held at 11:00am October 14th at Hockenberry Cemetery in Tichnor, Ar.
