Geneva Belle Smith

January 3, 1920 — October 8, 2020

Judsonia

Geneva Belle Brown Smith, 100, of Judsonia entered her eternal home October 9, 2020.  She was born January 20, 1920 to the late Ulysses S and Mary Emma Cary Brown at Jackson, Arkansas.
Along with her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by two husbands, Earnie Brown and Conard Smith; sisters, Helen Lorraine Brown Merrill, Gloria Dean Brown, Dorothy Brown Lampton, and Ruth Brown Anselmi; brothers, James Dee Brown, Billy Don Brown, and Charles Sherman Brown; son, Bobby Brown and one grandson, Christopher Brown.
Geneva was always up for spending time with family and friends...especially if there was a good meal involved. She loved to dance to country and western music; but especially loved a good waltz. As a member of the Home Extension Service, Geneva earned numerous ribbons for her service. She was also a pinned member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Geneva was a force to be reckoned with.  She spearheaded the demand for a Senior Citizens’ Center by organizing marches around court square. The center was built, and she proudly attended the events held inside the building.
She loved her home and her independence.  With the help of wonderful caregivers, family, and Hospice, she was able to stay home through the end of her life.  The family would like to extend their appreciation for everyone that helped make that possible.
Geneva is survived by her daughters, MaryAnn Brown Hale Johnson (Michael) of Judsonia, Connie Lea Smith Miller (Kevin) of Searcy; sons, Conard Leon Smith Jr and Jimmy D Brown (Gene) both of Little Rock; grandchildren, Kirsten Brown, Joseph Brown, Rebecca Hale O’Neil, Anthony Shane Hale, Nathan Lohne Hale, Colleen Autumn Smith, Todd Merriman, Nicholas Ryan Miller and William Tyler Brown; eight great grandchildren; her beloved 14 year old poodle, Babe; and a host of other family and friends who will miss her big smile and bright eyes.
