Geneva Mcclellan Rauls

Geneva McClellan Rauls age 88, of the Herbine Community near Rison, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Crittenden Regional Medical Center in West Memphis. Mrs. Rauls was born November 5, 1921 in New Edinburg, a daughter of the late James H. (Jim) McClellan and Lillian Hartley McClellan. She was a homemaker and member of Free Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Rauls was also preceded in death by her husband of seventy two years, Robert Lynn Rauls; four brothers, Reverend Elbert McClellan, Albert McClellan, Alvin McClellan and Elvin McClellan.

Mrs. Rauls is survived by her daughter and son in law, Dorothy and Roy Kirkland of West Memphis; three sisters, Anna House of Pine Bluff, Fannie Crutchfield and Juanita Morgan both of Rison; half sister, Eveline Phelps of Farmerville, Louisiana; two grandchildren and spouses, Susan and John Newsom of Knoxville, Tennessee, Lee and DeWanda Kirkland of West Memphis; four great grandchildren, Ann Newsom, Elizabeth Newsom, Kaelyn Kirkland and Byron Kirkland.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Reverend Billy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be prior the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers are Larry Crutchfield, James Rauls, Rafe Rauls, Jeff Rauls, George Reap, Lee Stewart, Ronnie Puckett and David Herrington.
