Geanie Hestline Barker

Geanie Mathews Menottie Barker, 95 of Sheridan passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 in Little Rock. She was born December 8, 1912 in Grapevine, Arkansas to the late Calvin and Lether Anna Taylor Cotton. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church in Sheridan. Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barker; sisters, Geneva Childress, Lee Scroggins, Ella Dortch, Elizabeth Van Pelt; brothers, Welzie Cotton, Gerdie Cotton, Ed Cotton, and Roy Hewitt.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jim and Margaret Mathews of Maumelle; five step sons, Allen Menotti of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Edward and David Menotti, both of Pine Bluff, Robert Menotti of Madison, Alabama, Tommy Barker of Leola; step daughter, Cathey Lucchesi of Arlington, Texas; sister, Allie Dortch of Benton; half sister, Julia Mae Estes of Memphis; brother, Sam Cotton of Sheridan; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Brother Don Ashcraft officiating.
