Gary Lynn Wright

December 27, 1946 — March 2, 2016

Gary Lynn Wright, age 69, passed away on March 2, 2016.  A native of Arkansas, he was born on December 27, 1946 to the late Iris Ellen Wright and Warren Ethan Wright of Floyd, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Hassell Wright in 2013.  He is survived by his daughter, Nichole Wright Wilson (Layne) and their three children: Dalton Wilson, Avery Wilson and Gavin Wilson;  his step-son, Todd Price (Gaye Lynn) and their three children: Keristy Nieto, Kassie Price and Kendall Price. He is also survived by his brother Newton Lee Wright (Sue) of Mohave Valley, Arizona, his sister Nancy Ellen Black (Bob) of Searcy, Arkansas and his sister Paula Kay Kiggins (Gary) of Hendersonville, Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wright attended Bell Gardens High School in Bell Gardens, California where his passion for horticulture and landscaping won him numerous awards. He played on several community basketball and softball leagues and served three years in the Army.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bell Gardens, California.  After moving back to Arkansas, he worked for many years for Brown and Root out of Houston, Texas.

Gary enjoyed gardening and being out in nature while hiking and fishing. He had a keen sense of humor and was a favorite with the nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered by his family as a man of faith who cared deeply for his family.

The family will have a celebration memorial service on March 12th at 1:00 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Joy, Arkansas.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
