Gary Shelby

Gary Shelby, 49 of the Woodlawn Community in Cleveland County, died November 28, 2011. He was born March 22, 1962 in Pine Bluff, a son of Verle Wayne Shelby and Helen Roberta Crutchfield Shelby. Mr. Shelby served in the Army and was a Baptist. He was an electrician and worked for Maple Leaf Awning Company. Mr. Shelby enjoyed being outdoors and loved spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Verda Shelby, and Elbert and Hazel Crutchfield. Survivors include his wife, Lori Williams Shelby of Batesville; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verle Shelby of Woodlawn; daughters, Ashleigh and Summer Shelby both of Woodlawn; stepdaughter, Brandi Williams of Batesville; brother, Jeremy Shelby of Pine Bluff; sisters, Rhonda Epnett and Deborah Hobbs both of Pine Bluff; nephews, Steven, Joshua and David Waschalk; nieces, Jaime Stewart, Miranda Hobbs, Lindsey and Abby Shelby; five great nephews and one great niece. Memorial services are 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Matt Donnell officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to service. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 8120 Highway 63, Rison, Arkansas 71665. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870)325-6216.
