Garland Travis Denton, age 77, of Kensett, AR passed away Friday, February 11, 2022. He is survived by his Wife, Wava Jean; Children, Kurtis, Kristial, Kimberly, Vicky; Sister, Pat Hollis; 2 nieces and 9 grandchildren.
Garland spent 40 years as an appliance repairman in the White County area. He truly loved helping people and fixing what was broken. According to his children, there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix. Above all, he loved the Lord and was a long-time member of First Assembly of God in Searcy. Garland believed that prayer, peace, and compassion were keys to touching people’s lives.
Philippians 3:20-21 “ But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.”
He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Garland is now at peace and in the presence of our Lord.
Visitation will be held at First Assembly of God, 101 Benton Ave. Searcy, AR 72143 on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10 AM to 11 AM with service beginning at 11 AM. An informal burial gathering will follow directly at White County Memorial Gardens.
