Gail (Davis) Jones

July 28, 1952 — December 23, 2019

Searcy

Gail Davis Jones, 67, of McRae, formerly of El Paso, passed away December 23, 2019 at The Crossing at Riverside in Searcy following a yearlong battle of health issues.  She was born July 28, 1952 at Beebe to the late Howard and Lillian Cruise Davis.
Gail was a graduate of Beebe High School and a member of McRae First Baptist Church. There are a plethora of words that could describe Gail, but a devoted Christian and prayer warrior are the two that sums up her being the most.  She always put others first, and had a caregiver's heart.  Along with working all her life, she volunteered for anything she could to give back to her community and church. She was also strong willed and a fighter to the end; when her health began to fail, she never waivered in her faith.  Her love and inspiration for others will live on forever.
She married Jasper Jones February 14, 2009 at Romance.  He preceded her in death April 30, 2019.  She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia Gail Hambrick.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Schroeder (Kent) of McRae; grandson, Colton Hambrick of McRae; three brothers, Dale Davis (Beverly) of Beebe, Howard David Davis (Kathy) of Oklahoma; and Steve Davis of Searcy; one sister, Carolyn Mear of Romance; as well as numerous friends and extended family who will dearly miss her.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Sullivan Funeral Care.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27 at McRae First Baptist Church with burial following at Kensett Cemetery.
