Franklin Stephens

Franklin Stephens, 73, of Higginson, passed away June 14, 2022 at his home.  He was born March 3, 1949 at Des Arc to the late Herbert and Ruby Waggle Stephens.
Mr. Stephens was a member of the Searcy First Pentecostal Church of God and was a veteran of the Army.  He was a hard-working man and was a brick layer in early years and retired as a truck driver.  He enjoyed sports and was an avid Razorback fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Wayne, Thelbert Stephens and Floyd Waggle; and one sister, Bertha Tucker.
He married Ruby Sue Spradlin Stephens May 8, 1992 at Searcy; she survives.  He is also survived by five sons, Clyde Stephens (Angela) of Higginson, Tommy Stephens (Michelle) of Bakersville, CA, Jamie Anderson of Cabot, Michael Clause of Kensett, and Brian Clause of Bentonville; two daughters, Tammy Stephens-Oceguera of Friend, NE, and Trisha Staggs (Jay) of Springdale, AR; Allie Finkbeinder, of Ola, AR; twenty-three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Stephens (Susie) of Searcy, Robert Stephens of Higginson, and James Phillips of Drasco; two sisters, Brenda Stephens of Higginson, and Glenda Light (Arnold) of Heber Springs.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel.   Burial will follow at Sidon Cemetery.
