Forest Douglas Blount, 77, of Garner, Arkansas went to be with the Lord June 1, 2022. He was born July 26, 1944, at Searcy to the late Clyde and Honor Hughes Blount.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Patricia Alford Blount, parents, brother, Russell Blount, and sister, Patsy Williams.
Survivors include three children, Michelle (Greg) of Searcy, Stephen (Missy) of McRae, and Dana (Chris) of Garner; thirty grandchildren; brother, Rocky Blount; sisters, Kathryn, Carolyn, Peggy, Dora, and a host of many friends and loved ones.
He was known as Papa, Pops, and Daddy. He loved his family, blood or chosen. After retiring from Matthews International after 38 years, He enjoyed deer camp, hunting, good food, family, and friends. He was always there to help others. He could be found in his shop watching tv, listening to music, or working on something. Everyone was welcome to come use his shop or just sit for a spell.
The family will have a visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday June 3, 2022, at Garner Baptist Church with a memorial service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, also at the church.
