Floyd William Green

Floyd William Green, age 98, of Rison went to be with Lord on February 4, 2024. He was born August 26, 1925 in Cornerville to the late Ambers and Icie Opal Green. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children Willie Lee Ratliff Green, his second wife Maybelle Green, his son Don Green, brothers J.W. Green, Leon Green, sisters, Geraldine Lloyd and Birdie King. Mr. Green was a retired logger and enjoyed fishing, camping, playing his guitar and harmonica and going to church. He loved his family dearly and cherished all the times they gathered. He was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Glendale.

He is survived by his children, Judy Parker (Paul Wayne), Carolyn Williams (Johnny), David Green (Kaye), Ray Green (Renee), Phil Green (Becky), Tim Green, Janie Stanfield (Kevin), Tricia Gerard (Oscar), and his daughter-in-law Carolyn Green, 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jody Spakes, Chris Green, Jeff Green, Billy Green, Eric Green and Trey Gerard.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
