Floy Gene Edmonds

Floy Gene Edmonds age 86 of Woodlawn, died Saturday, August 30, 2008, at her home. She was born April 29, 1922, in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Guy and Lillie Cope Henderson. Mrs. Edmonds attended Rison High School. She married Earnest Lee Edmonds on March 25, 1943. Mrs. Edmonds was an Inspector for Westinghouse Electric Corporation for over thirty years and was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers and dogs Bo. Mrs. Edmonds was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Lee Edmonds, who died on April 12, 2000; one brother, Bernis Henderson; one sister, Geneva Vent.

Mrs. Edmonds is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Rufus and Jeannette Henderson of Pine Bluff, L. C. Henderson of Leola, Billy and Jean Henderson of Woodlawn; one sister, Leona Culp of Austin, Texas; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 2, 2008, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2008 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mike Henderson, Mark Henderson, Havis Harrison, Billy Rex Morrison, Robert Lawson and Cody Lunsford. The family will be at the home of Billy Henderson in Woodlawn.
