Fannie J. Crutchfield, age 88, of the Herbine Community, died, Sunday, April 22, 2012. She was born March 25, 1924 in New Edinburg, a daughter of the late James (Jim) McClellan and Lillian Hartley McClellan. Mrs. Crutchfield was a graduate of Rison High School. She enjoyed farming and quilting. Mrs. Crutchfield was a homemaker and a member of Free Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert "Toy" Crutchfield; brothers, Elbert McClellan, Albert McClellan Alvin McClellan, and Elvin McClellan; sister, Geneva Rauls. Mrs. Crutchfield is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marilyn Crutchfield of Monticello; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and John Selby of Rye; two sisters, Juanita Morgan of Rye, Ann House of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren, Monica Patrick, Denese Hawkins, Karen Smith, Kellye Alstadt, Krissy Morrison, Rick Anthony and Yancy Box; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Ray Sanders and Brother Dewayne Roper officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Chet Morrison, Matt Alstadt, Rick Anthony, Colby Rice, Brent Crook, Brad Crutchfield, Tommy Crutchfield, and Opland Crutchfield.
