Fain Hamilton

Fain Hamilton, 97,of Sheridan, Arkansas, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Sheridan Nursing Rehab Center in Sheridan. She was born on September 25, 1913 in Grant County to the late Olen Lybrand and Ollie Taylor Lybrand. Mrs. Hamilton worked for 75 years and enjoyed helping others and volunteering. She was a Baptist and a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Idus (Pete) Hamilton, three brothers, and five sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Bryant; grandchildren, Kyle Bryant, Brent (Tracie) Bryant, Tracey (Karen) Bryant; great grandchildren, Kristyn Bryant, Michael Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Nicholas Bryant, and Jacob Bryant; a host of nieces and nephews, and caregiver Cloma Whillington.

Graveside services are 10:00 A.M. Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Brother Terry Williams officiating. Visitation is 6 8 P.M. Monday, October 4, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home, Sheridan. Memorials may be made to the Grant County Museum, 521 Shackleford Rd. Sheridan, AR 72150 or Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkston Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116. The family wanted to thank all the staff at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehab Center for their kindness and care. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
